My birthplace Stadsbygd,a beautyful place in the middle of Norway

When i was young in the early sixties(born in 1960)it`s not so long ago!,Stadsbygd was a paradise for the kids like us,nearly no cars on the roads, when i had to take my bicycle to go to Stadsbygd school in the summer, and in the winther i was skiing every day if possible! It was a long distance to get to school, around 4 km.one way,so i was in good shape at this time!
The best thing when i have free from school, was to play in the woods or by the Trondheimsfjord where we go fishing in a boat or standing on land.Remember this was the times before data,so the kids was much healthier at this time,we did not sit inside the home all the time and watching television or data. The kids who is growing up today dont know what they are missing.
We had our own boat when i was young,a little boat made from wood, with a small engine on.We used it often,to go fishing,or just a trip on the fjord.Visit the website of Trondheimsfjord!
Today i have a little bigger boat,a great fishingboat (Sjømann 22)with a 22 HP Yanmar dieselengine. It use almost nothing diesel, and thats fine, because the diesel in this country is VERY expensive!
Here is some pictures of the ships i worked on from 1978!

Stadsbygd is a village and former municipality in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The former municipality was located in the present-day municipalities of Rissa and Agdenes. The village is located along the north side of the Trondheimsfjord, northwest of the city ofTrondheim.[1] The main church for the area is Stadsbygd Church.Visit the website.
The municipality of Stadsbygd was established on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). In 1860, the northwestern district of Rissawas separated from Stadsbygd to form a municipality of its own. The split left Stadsbygd with a population of 1,828. On 1 January 1964, the Ingdalen district south of the Trondheimsfjord (population: 171) was merged into the municipality of Agdenes. The rest of Stadsbygd, north of the Trondheimsfjord, (population: 1,616) was merged into the municipality of Rissa.[3]
One other ting Stadsbygd is known for is the fishermen (called staværinger) who went to Lofoten in Northern-Norway the whole winter to fish on the banks there. They mostly lived in their boats(Fembøringer)thru the winter.
To get to Stadsbygd you have to take a ferry from Trondheim, the 3rd.greatest city in Norway

Or you can drive thru Rissa who is the community-center in the region.
